The HERTEL MR34-0752.406 is a solid carbide chucking reamer designed for precision hole finishing in tight-tolerance machining applications. With a 1.91 mm (0.0752 inch) diameter and a spiral flute geometry, this reamer delivers controlled material removal and smooth bore surfaces in a single pass. The straight cylindrical shank seats securely in standard collet chucks or drill press chucks. At 50 mm overall length with a 10 mm flute length, it is well suited for shallow-to-moderate depth reaming where rigidity and dimensional accuracy are the primary requirements. The bright, uncoated solid carbide construction provides high wear resistance on ferrous and non-ferrous materials without added coating thickness that could affect bore tolerances.
This chucking reamer is intended for use in CNC machining centers, manual mills, drill presses, and similar machine tool setups where a reamed finish is required to close dimensional tolerances. The 4-flute, right-hand cut with left-hand spiral flute configuration promotes chip evacuation away from the cutting zone, reducing recutting and improving surface finish. It is appropriate for production and job-shop environments where small-diameter precision bores are machined in metals, plastics, and composite materials.
Designed as an OEM-style precision reamer for use in standard straight-shank collet chucks and drill chucks accepting small-diameter tooling in the 1.00 mm to 2.00 mm diameter range.
This reamer should be installed and operated by a qualified machinist familiar with small-diameter rotary cutting tools. Ensure the machine spindle and chuck are powered down and fully stopped before tool changes. Secure the straight shank with adequate gripping depth in the collet or chuck to prevent pullout under cutting loads. Do not use this reamer as a drill; always pre-drill or bore the hole to near-final size before reaming to the finished dimension.
