The HERTEL MR34-0748.406 is a solid carbide chucking reamer designed for precision hole finishing in metalworking and machining applications. With a 1.9 mm reaming diameter and a tight tolerance of 0.0000 to +0.0003 mm, this tool delivers accurate, consistent bore sizing in production and maintenance environments. The spiral flute geometry with left-hand spiral direction promotes smooth chip evacuation while the right-hand cutting action ensures controlled, chatter-free reaming. Machinists and tool-and-die technicians install this reamer in CNC machining centers and manual drill presses wherever close-tolerance bores are required.
This reamer is suited for light-duty precision reaming passes on ferrous and non-ferrous materials in both job shop and production floor settings. The 50 mm overall length and 10 mm flute length make it appropriate for shallow-bore applications. The bright polished finish reduces friction and aids chip flow. The straight shank mounts directly into standard collet chucks and drill chucks without adapters, keeping setup simple for high-volume runs or one-off toolroom work.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide chucking reamer for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual lathes equipped with standard straight-shank collet or drill chuck toolholding systems accepting tools in the 1.0 mm to 2.0 mm diameter range.
This reamer is installed and serviced by machinists and toolroom technicians. Before mounting, confirm the spindle and toolholder are clean and free of chips or burrs that could affect runout. Secure the straight shank firmly in a collet or drill chuck to the toolholder manufacturer's recommended torque before engaging the cut. Always use appropriate cutting fluid for the workpiece material and never exceed the recommended feed rate for the reamer diameter, as carbide tooling is brittle and sensitive to side loading or impact.
