The HERTEL MR34-0335.281 is a solid carbide chucking reamer designed for precision hole finishing in close-tolerance machining applications. With a 0.85 mm diameter and a diameter tolerance of 0.0000 to +0.0003 mm, this reamer delivers accurate, repeatable bore sizing in a single pass. The spiral flute geometry with left-hand spiral direction and right-hand cut promotes smooth chip evacuation and reduces chatter in small-bore operations. At 50 mm overall length with a 7 mm flute length and a straight shank, it is suited for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and automatic screw machines. Machinists and toolroom technicians are the primary installers.
This reamer is intended for precision reaming of small-diameter holes in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where tight bore tolerances are required. The bright polished finish reduces friction and helps maintain dimensional accuracy over the tool life. With 4 flutes and a right-hand cutting direction, it is well suited for through-holes and short blind-bore finishing in production machining environments where sub-millimeter accuracy is critical. The straight shank allows direct mounting in collet chucks and standard drill chucks without adapters.
Designed as an OEM-style precision cutting tool for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and automatic screw machines that accept straight-shank reamers in the sub-1 mm diameter range.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians familiar with small-diameter precision cutting tools. Secure the straight shank firmly in a collet chuck or drill chuck rated for the application before operation. Verify spindle speed and feed rate are appropriate for the workpiece material and tool diameter before engaging the cut. Never force the reamer into an undersized pilot hole, as solid carbide is brittle and will fracture under lateral or torsional overload.
