The HERTEL K008608AS25 is a straight flute tap designed for cutting 3/4-16 UNF internal threads in a variety of workpiece materials. Built from high speed steel (HSS) with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, it delivers improved wear resistance and extended tool life compared to uncoated taps. The plug chamfer on the lead threads eases entry into through-holes and blind holes with adequate depth clearance. Thread length is 2 inches with an overall length of 4.25 inches, making it suitable for standard machine tapping and hand tapping operations in production and maintenance environments.
