This keeps the cutting zone clear and reduces the risk of chip-related breakage during production tapping. The plug chamfer provides a gradual thread lead-in, making it suitable for most standard through-hole work. Thread limit is H5, and the class of fit is 2B, conforming to standard UNC tolerances for general-purpose fastener applications. This tap is right-hand cut.
