The HERTEL K008165AS is a spiral flute tap designed to cut internal threads in through-holes and blind holes where chip evacuation is a priority. Built from high-speed steel (HSS) with a fast flute style, it cuts a 6-32 UNC right-hand thread to a 2B class of fit and H3 thread limit. The plug chamfer provides a gradual thread lead-in, distributing cutting load across several teeth. Overall length is 2 inches. With a 52-degree helix angle, the spiral flute geometry pulls chips back up and out of the hole, reducing packing and tap breakage in softer materials and blind-hole applications. Licensed machinists, toolroom operators, and maintenance technicians use this tap in manual and CNC tapping operations.

This tap is suited for threading 6-32 UNC holes in ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials in both production and maintenance environments. The 2B class of fit is the standard commercial tolerance for most fastener and threaded insert applications.
