The HERTEL H95006134 is a No. 35 wire-gauge jobber-length drill bit designed for general-purpose holemaking in metal, wood, and composite materials. Built from high speed steel with an oxide finish, it delivers consistent performance in production and maintenance drilling applications. The 137-degree split point reduces walking on entry and lowers the thrust force needed to start a hole, making it well suited for hand-held drilling or drill press work. At 2-5/8 inches overall length and a 1-1/4 inch flute length, it fits standard chucks and provides adequate chip clearance for its 0.110-inch cutting diameter. Right-hand spiral flutes evacuate chips efficiently during through-hole and blind-hole operations.
This bit is appropriate for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general mechanical trades where small-diameter precision holes are required in sheet metal, tubing, electrical enclosures, and structural members. The heavy-duty grade construction makes it a reliable choice for repetitive production drilling as well as field service work. A 2-flute regular spiral configuration keeps the geometry straightforward and compatible with standard drill press speeds and hand-drill RPM ranges commonly used on ferrous and non-ferrous stock.
Designed as a standard jobber-length drill bit compatible with any 3-jaw chuck or keyless chuck that accepts shanks in the 0.110-inch diameter range, suitable for hand drills, drill presses, and CNC drilling operations within the No. 35 wire-gauge size class.
A qualified machinist or tradesperson should secure the workpiece firmly before drilling to prevent material movement. Use appropriate cutting fluid or lubricant when drilling ferrous metals to extend bit life and improve hole finish. Ensure the drill press or hand drill is set to an appropriate RPM for the material and bit diameter before starting. Inspect the cutting edges for wear before each use and replace the bit if chipping or dulling is observed.
