The 137-degree split point reduces walking on entry and requires less thrust than a standard 118-degree point, making it well suited to production drilling and repair work. An oxide and gold coating provides corrosion resistance and basic lubricity. The right-hand spiral flute evacuates chips efficiently during through-hole and blind-hole drilling.

This bit is sized for light holemaking tasks common in HVAC, electrical, and plumbing rough-in work where small-diameter pilot holes or access holes are needed through sheet metal, brackets, and enclosures.
