The HERTEL H95006002 is a high speed steel jobber-length drill bit designed for general-purpose holemaking in metal, wood, and composite materials. It measures 3/32 inch (0.0938 inch decimal) in diameter with a 2-1/4 inch overall length and a 1-inch flute length. The 137-degree split point reduces walking on entry and requires less thrust than a standard 118-degree point, making it well suited to production drilling and repair work. An oxide and gold coating provides corrosion resistance and basic lubricity. The right-hand spiral flute evacuates chips efficiently during through-hole and blind-hole drilling.
This bit is sized for light holemaking tasks common in HVAC, electrical, and plumbing rough-in work where small-diameter pilot holes or access holes are needed through sheet metal, brackets, and enclosures. The heavy-duty grade construction holds up to repeated use in shop and field environments. Sold individually, with a minimum order quantity of 12 units per order.
Designed as a standard jobber-length drill bit compatible with any 3/32-inch capacity chuck, including keyed, keyless, and quick-change drill chuck systems used on handheld drills, drill presses, and similar rotary holemaking equipment.
Install and remove drill bits only when the tool is powered off and the chuck is fully secured. Use appropriate cutting fluid or lubricant when drilling ferrous metals to extend bit life and reduce heat buildup. Inspect the cutting edge before each use and replace bits that show chipping or dulling to maintain hole quality and operator safety. Proper RPM selection based on material and bit diameter should follow standard machining reference charts.
