The HERTEL H59875674 is a solid carbide boring insert designed for precision metal-cutting operations on CNC lathes and boring bars. Manufactured to TPCG322 geometry with a 60-degree triangular shape and an 11-degree relief angle, this insert is PVD-coated with TiN (titanium nitride) to extend cutting edge life and reduce built-up edge in ferrous and non-ferrous applications. The inscribed circle measures 3/8 inches, thickness is 0.127 inches, and the corner radius is 1/32 inches (0.031 inches). It is rated at material grade C5 and held in place by screw-type clamping. This insert is installed by machinists and tooling technicians performing internal diameter turning and boring operations.
This insert fits right-hand boring bar toolholders configured for TPCG-style inserts. It is suited for finishing and semi-finishing passes on internal bores in production and job-shop environments. The TiN PVD coating improves wear resistance at moderate cutting speeds, making this insert appropriate for steel, cast iron, and similar materials where a C5-grade carbide is specified. Minimum order quantity is 10 pieces; each package contains 1 insert.
Designed for use in right-hand boring bar toolholders accepting TPCG-style screw-clamp inserts with a 3/8-inch inscribed circle. Catalog reference number TPCG322R.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing inserts. Use the appropriate Torx or hex key as required by the toolholder manufacturer to secure the clamping screw; do not overtighten. Inspect the insert pocket and clamping screw for wear or debris before seating the new insert.
