The HERTEL H59873513 is a solid carbide boring insert designed for precision internal turning and boring operations on CNC and manual machine tool setups. Manufactured to insert style TDHB with size code 1.280.752, this insert features a 60-degree triangular geometry with a 15-degree relief angle, providing clearance and edge stability in moderate to aggressive boring passes. The CVD multi-layer coating sequence of TiN, TiC, TiCN, and TiN delivers wear resistance and thermal protection suited to ferrous and cast-iron workpiece materials at material grade C7. Screw-style clamping holds the insert securely in compatible TDHB boring toolholders during high-cycle production use.
This insert is used in precision boring applications across manufacturing, tool-and-die, and general machining environments. It is appropriate for residential job shops and commercial production facilities running internal diameter finishing and semi-finishing operations. The triangular shape provides three usable cutting edges, reducing per-edge tooling cost on repeat boring programs.
