The HERTEL H05768064 is a laydown threading insert designed for right-hand external Stub Acme thread cutting at 8 threads per inch. Manufactured from solid carbide with a TiC/TiN coating, this insert delivers wear resistance and heat control suited for demanding threading operations on lathes and turning centers. It features a 3/8-inch inscribed circle and a 0.146-inch thickness with a 0 degree relief angle, conforming to the 16ER insert style. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working with Stub Acme thread forms will find this insert geometry built to spec for consistent thread profile accuracy.
This insert is intended for external threading applications where the Stub Acme thread standard is required, such as lead screws, linear actuators, and power-transmission components.
