The HERTEL H00323097 is a solid carbide, uncoated boring insert designed for precision internal turning and boring operations on CNC and manual lathes. It carries the TPGT21.51HF2 insert designation and is manufactured to the HT540B grade, a C1-class uncoated carbide suited for finishing cuts in non-ferrous and cast iron materials. The triangular, 60-degree included angle geometry provides three usable cutting edges. With a 1/4-inch inscribed circle, a 3/32-inch thickness, a 1/64-inch corner radius, and an 11-degree relief angle, this insert delivers tight tolerances and clean surface finishes in small-diameter boring applications. The HF2 chipbreaker geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation during light finishing passes. Licensed machinists and CNC programmers are the primary installers.
This insert is applied in small-bore internal turning, copy turning, and finish boring where close dimensional control is required. The uncoated solid carbide construction makes it well suited for aluminum, copper alloys, and other non-ferrous workpiece materials where coated grades can cause built-up edge. It is held by screw clamping, making it compatible with boring bars and tool holders designed for TPGT-style inserts with top-clamping or lever-lock screw retention. Minimum order quantity for this insert is 10 pieces; each unit is individually packaged.

Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Inspect the pocket seat and clamping screw for wear or debris before seating a new insert edge.
