The HERTEL H-81186010400 is a Trade Size 1 combination drill and countersink designed for drilling and chamfering in a single operation. Manufactured from cobalt high-speed steel with a bright uncoated finish, it offers improved heat and wear resistance compared to standard M2 tooling. The body diameter measures 1/8 inch, overall length is 4 inches, and the drill point diameter is 3/64 inch with a matching 3/64 inch point length. The 118-degree drill point angle suits general-purpose metalworking, while the 60-degree included angle handles standard countersink geometry. This tool is suited for machinists, tool-and-die workers, and fabricators working on metal components requiring accurate center drilling and chamfering.
This combination drill countersink is intended for use on ferrous and non-ferrous metals in machine shop, maintenance, and fabrication environments. It fits standard drill press, lathe, and milling machine spindles. The double-end design extends usable tool life, allowing operators to flip the tool when one end wears. The long-length configuration provides additional reach for applications where standard-length tooling cannot access the workpiece. It is sold individually and is appropriate for light to medium production work where a single-pass drill-and-chamfer operation reduces setup time.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct substitute for Trade Size 1 combination drill countersinks used in standard drill press, lathe, and milling machine applications requiring a 1/8 inch body diameter and 60-degree countersink angle.
Installation and operation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling professional. Secure the tool firmly in the machine spindle collet or chuck before powering the machine. Apply an appropriate cutting fluid for the workpiece material to extend tool life and improve finish quality. Inspect both ends for wear or chipping before each use; do not operate with a damaged cutting edge.
