The HERTEL H-81186010300 is a combination drill and countersink tool designed to drill a pilot hole and create a countersink in a single operation. Built from cobalt high-speed steel, it delivers improved heat and wear resistance compared to standard HSS tooling, making it a reliable choice for harder metals, stainless, and abrasive materials. The body measures 1/8 inch in diameter with a 3/64 inch drill point diameter and a 3/64 inch drill point length. Overall length is 3 inches. The included countersink angle is 60 degrees with a 118-degree drill point angle. This is a long-length tool sold individually.
This combo drill countersink is suited for metalworking, fabrication, and maintenance applications where countersunk fastener holes are required in a single pass. It is commonly used by machinists, sheet metal workers, and maintenance technicians working on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The double end type and plain cutting edge style make it a straightforward choice for production or repair work on manual and CNC equipment.
Designed as a standard trade size 1 combo drill countersink for use in manually operated drill presses, lathes, and CNC equipment accepting 1/8 inch body diameter tooling.
Installation is performed by machinists or tool and die technicians. Secure the tool firmly in a collet or drill chuck rated for the body diameter before use. Ensure the workpiece is clamped securely to prevent movement during the drilling and countersinking operation. Use appropriate cutting fluid for the workpiece material to extend tool life and maintain finish quality.
