The HERTEL H-81155L02060 is a combination drill and countersink tool designed for drilling pilot holes and countersinking in a single pass. Built from high-speed steel (HSS) with a bright, uncoated finish, this tool handles ferrous and non-ferrous materials in production and maintenance applications. It carries a trade size of 2, a 3/16 inch body diameter, and a 5/64 inch drill point diameter. The 118-degree drill point angle and 90-degree included angle on the countersink deliver clean, accurate entry geometry without secondary tooling. Overall length is 6 inches, making this a long-length configuration suited for reaching recessed or obstructed workpiece surfaces.
This combo drill countersink is used in metalworking, fabrication, and maintenance environments where countersunk fastener seats must be prepared quickly and consistently. The plain cutting edge style and double end type allow for extended tool life by rotating to the second end when one side dulls. It is appropriate for use in manual drill presses, CNC machining centers, and hand-held drilling applications wherever countersinking is required alongside pilot hole creation. No insertable cutter head or aircraft-style geometry is present, keeping the tool straightforward and easy to fixture.
Designed as a standard combo drill countersink replacement or addition for drill presses, CNC lathes, and machining centers that accept straight-shank center-drilling tooling with a 3/16 inch body diameter.
Installation and use should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling professional familiar with center-drilling operations. Secure the workpiece and verify spindle speed is appropriate for the workpiece material and tool diameter before beginning. Power down the machine and lock out energy sources before changing or inspecting the tool. Do not exceed the recommended speed and feed range for the material being machined, as high-speed steel tooling is susceptible to overheating without adequate cutting fluid or coolant.
