The HERTEL H-81154L05060 is a combination drill and countersink designed for simultaneous drilling and countersinking in a single operation. Built from high-speed steel with a bright uncoated finish, this tool is engineered for trade and industrial use in metal fabrication, machining, and assembly applications. It features a 3/16 inch drill point diameter, a 118-degree drill point angle, and an 82-degree included angle for the countersink profile. At 6 inches overall length, it qualifies as a long-length tool, making it well suited for work in recessed or harder-to-reach setups. Machinists, tool-and-die techs, and fabricators are the primary users.
This combo drill countersink is used in applications requiring a pre-drilled pilot hole and countersink seat in one pass, reducing setup time on drill presses, CNC machining centers, and manual milling machines. It is sized for trade size 5 work with a 7/16 inch body diameter and a 3/16 inch drill point. The plain cutting edge style and non-tapered, non-insertable design make it a straightforward drop-in tool for standard countersinking tasks. It is appropriate for use in ferrous and non-ferrous metals where a clean countersink seat is required.
Designed for use in standard drill press chucks, CNC spindles, and manual machine tool holders accepting a 7/16 inch body diameter shank for trade size 5 combination drill countersink applications.
Installation and use of this tool should be performed by a qualified machinist or tool operator familiar with speeds and feeds for high-speed steel cutting tools. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and power is disconnected before changing or securing the tool in the holder. Use appropriate work-holding and eye protection per shop safety standards. Do not exceed the recommended RPM range for the workpiece material to avoid premature tool wear or breakage.
