The HERTEL H-81154L02040 is a combination drill and countersink designed for simultaneous drilling and countersinking in a single operation. Built from high speed steel with a bright polished finish, this No. 2 trade size tool features a 3/16-inch body diameter, a 5/64-inch drill point diameter, and an 82-degree included angle for standard countersink geometry. The 118-degree drill point angle suits general-purpose work in mild steel, aluminum, and similar materials. At 4 inches overall length, it falls into the long-length category, providing added reach for setups where a standard-length tool falls short. Machinists, tool and die workers, and general fabricators use this style of tool daily.
This combo drill countersink suits production and job-shop environments where countersinking flathead fastener seats is a routine operation. The plain cutting edge style and non-tapered, non-insertable design make it a straightforward, solid-body tool. The double end type means both ends can be used before the tool is retired, extending tool life on high-volume runs. It is appropriate for use in drill presses, lathes, and CNC machining centers.
Designed as an OEM-style combo drill countersink for use in standard drill press chucks, lathe tailstocks, and CNC tool holders accepting a 3/16-inch shank diameter.
This tool is installed by machinists and fabricators in rotating spindle equipment. Always bring the machine to a full stop before changing or inspecting tooling. Secure the shank firmly in the chuck or collet and verify runout before beginning a cut. Follow applicable shop safety practices and machine manufacturer guidelines for speed and feed selection.
