The HERTEL H-81154L01040 is a combination drill and countersink tool designed to drill and chamfer in a single operation. Built from high-speed steel (HSS) with a bright uncoated finish, it features a 1/8 inch body diameter and a 3/64 inch drill point diameter with a 118-degree drill point angle. The 82-degree included angle on the countersink portion is sized for standard flat-head fastener seating. At 4 inches overall length, this is a long-length tool suited for reaching into workpieces where a standard-length tool falls short. Machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and metalworking tradespeople use this style of tool to eliminate a secondary countersinking step on drilled holes.
This combo drill countersink is used in metalworking applications where a pilot hole and countersink must be produced in one pass. It is appropriate for light-duty metals, sheet stock, and fabrication work in trade or production shop environments. The plain cutting edge style and double-end configuration make it a general-purpose workhorse for countersinking flat-head fastener holes. The long-length design provides additional reach for workpieces with limited accessibility from standard toolholders.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard shop tool for metalworking operations requiring a No. 1 trade size combination drill countersink with a 1/8 inch body diameter and 82-degree included angle.
This tool is installed in a drill press, lathe tailstock, or compatible rotary toolholder by a machinist or metalworking technician. Ensure the machine is powered down and the spindle is fully stopped before changing tooling. Use appropriate RPM for the workpiece material and tool diameter per standard machining reference tables. Do not use on materials or at feeds and speeds beyond the rated capacity of high-speed steel tooling.
