The HERTEL H-81105507000 is a combination drill and countersink designed to drill a pilot hole and cut a countersink angle in a single operation. Built from cobalt high-speed steel with a bright, uncoated finish, this tool handles tough materials including stainless steel, alloy steels, and hard plastics. It carries a trade size of 7, a 5/8 inch body diameter, and a 1/4 inch drill point diameter with a 118-degree drill point angle. The 60-degree included angle on the countersink matches standard flat-head fastener geometry. Overall length is 3.25 inches. Machinists, toolmakers, and metalworking technicians use this tool in drill press, CNC, or manual lathe setups.
This combo drill countersink is suited for countersinking operations in metal fabrication, maintenance, repair, and production machining environments. The double-end style maximizes tool life by providing two usable ends before the tool is retired. Its cobalt construction makes it appropriate for interrupted cuts and harder workpieces where standard high-speed steel tools wear prematurely. Typical applications include preparing fastener seats in steel plate, structural components, and similar ferrous or non-ferrous stock requiring flush or below-flush fastener installation.
Designed as a standard trade size 7 combo drill countersink compatible with drill press chucks, CNC tool holders, and manual lathe tailstock setups accepting a 5/8 inch body diameter shank.
This tool is installed by metalworking machinists and maintenance technicians in machine shop or field fabrication settings. Secure the shank firmly in a properly sized collet or drill chuck before operation, and ensure the spindle is stopped completely before changing or adjusting the tool. Use appropriate cutting fluid for the workpiece material to extend tool life and maintain dimensional accuracy. Inspect both cutting ends for chipping or wear before each use.
