The HERTEL GG03901819 is a 4-flute cobalt square end mill designed for milling operations in ferrous and high-temperature alloy workpieces. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, it delivers hardness and heat resistance that holds up in demanding cutting conditions. The tool measures 0.2813 inches (9/32 inch) in cutting diameter with a 1-inch length of cut and a 3/8-inch shank diameter, giving it a rigid setup in standard collets and end mill holders. Overall length is 2.75 inches. The 30-degree helix spiral flute geometry promotes smooth chip evacuation and stable cutting action. This is an uncoated, centercutting tool suited for plunge, slot, and peripheral milling.
This end mill is intended for use in manual knee mills, CNC machining centers, and drill press setups where a standard-length, small-diameter cutting tool is required. The centercutting design allows direct plunge entry into the workpiece without a pre-drilled hole. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration match conventional spindle rotation. Machinists, tool and die makers, and maintenance machinists working with steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and similar materials will find this a practical general-purpose tool at the 9/32-inch diameter range.
Designed as a standard-length square end mill for use in 3/8-inch end mill holders, collet chucks, and milling machine spindles accepting a 3/8-inch shank diameter.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and the control in a safe state. Secure the shank to the full recommended engagement depth in the holder to minimize runout and prevent pullout under load. A licensed machinist or trained operator should verify feed rate, spindle speed, and depth of cut are appropriate for the workpiece material before engaging the cut. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping or wear before each use.
