The HERTEL EG99924519 is a single-end ball end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composite, and hard material applications. Built from solid carbide, it delivers rigidity and wear resistance that high-speed steel tooling cannot match in demanding cutting conditions. The cutting end measures 0.1563 inches in diameter with a 0.3125-inch length of cut, making it well suited for contouring, profiling, and 3D surface work where a tight radius and consistent edge integrity matter. A titanium carbonitride (TiCN) coating reduces friction and extends tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Four right-hand flutes with a right-hand cutting direction provide efficient chip evacuation and a smooth finish.
This end mill is used in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines for finish passes, slot milling, and contour work on small-scale features. Its 0.1563-inch diameter suits fine detail work in die and mold making, aerospace component machining, and precision part production. The 3/16-inch shank fits standard collets and end mill holders found in most shop setups. Machinists and CNC operators working with tight tolerances on hardened steels, stainless, and non-ferrous alloys will find the TiCN coating provides a measurable advantage in tool life over uncoated carbide.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-production solid carbide ball end mill for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with 3/16-inch collets or end mill holders.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and powered down before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or tool holder and torque the retention nut according to the tool holder manufacturer's specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cutting operation to protect both the workpiece and the cutting edge.
