The HERTEL E803104802 is a square end mill designed for general-purpose milling operations in metal fabrication and machining environments. Manufactured from M7 High Speed Steel with a Titanium Nitride (TiN) finish, this tool delivers solid wear resistance and heat tolerance across a range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It features a 3/4 inch cutting diameter, a 1-5/8 inch length of cut, and a 3/4 inch shank diameter with an overall length of 3-3/4 inches. The 30-degree spiral helix and four-flute geometry support efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes in standard roughing and finishing passes. Installation and use require a compatible tool holder or collet chuck sized for a 3/4 inch shank.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers and manual knee mills used in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation make it compatible with conventional spindle setups. The TiN coating extends tool life compared to uncoated HSS, particularly in interrupted cuts and general steel milling. The 1-5/8 inch length of cut falls within the 1.5 to 2.0 inch length-of-cut range, giving machinists flexibility for moderate-depth slotting and profiling operations. This is a single-end tool sold individually.
Designed as a standard 3/4 inch shank square end mill suitable for use in CNC machining centers, manual knee mills, and similar equipment equipped with compatible tool holders or collet systems accepting a 3/4 inch shank.
This tool is installed by a qualified machinist or toolroom professional into a properly sized end mill holder or collet chuck. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Verify holder runout before cutting to avoid premature tool wear or poor surface finish. This is a non-center-cutting end mill and must be ramped, helically interpolated, or side-loaded into the workpiece — do not plunge directly into solid material.
