The HERTEL E7039026 is a 4-flute square end mill designed for milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Manufactured from high speed steel with a TiCN (titanium carbonitride) finish, this tool delivers improved surface hardness and wear resistance compared to uncoated HSS. The cutter measures 0.4063 inches (13/32 inches) in diameter with a 1-inch length of cut, a 3/8-inch shank diameter, and an overall length of 2-11/16 inches. A 30-degree helix angle and spiral flute geometry promote efficient chip evacuation. The centercutting design allows plunge cutting directly into the workpiece.
This end mill is suited for general-purpose milling, slotting, profiling, and plunge operations on a CNC machining center or manual knee mill. It is appropriate for shops running production work in steel, stainless, cast iron, and similar materials where a TiCN coating provides extended tool life. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation match standard spindle rotation. The single-end configuration makes this a direct replacement when worn tooling is pulled from service.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard-stock end mill for use in any milling machine or machining center accepting a 3/8-inch shank with right-hand spindle rotation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or tool holder to the minimum engagement depth recommended by the holder manufacturer, and torque the clamping mechanism per the holder specification. Inspect the tool for runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut.
