Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel and finished with a TiCN (titanium carbonitride) coating, it delivers improved heat and wear resistance compared to standard HSS tooling. The 0.375-inch cutting diameter pairs with a 0.5625-inch length of cut, giving machinists a short, rigid tool profile suited to slotting, profiling, and light pocketing. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece without pre-drilling.
