The HERTEL E699924732 is a single-end ball end mill designed for contour milling, profiling, and 3D surface work in metalworking and machining applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it delivers rigidity and wear resistance suited to hardened steels, stainless alloys, aluminum, and similar materials. The cutting diameter measures 0.1875 inches with a 0.625-inch length of cut and a 2-inch overall length. A titanium nitride (TiN) coating reduces friction and extends tool life in moderate-to-high-speed operations. The 30-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. Installed by machinists and CNC operators, this end mill is a standard tool for precision finishing passes and complex 3D geometries.
This ball end mill is suited for CNC machining centers, manual knee mills, and multi-axis equipment handling finish contouring, slot entry, and ramp milling. The 0.1875-inch diameter makes it appropriate for detail work and tight-radius contours in both prototype and production environments. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration are compatible with standard spindle rotation on conventional milling equipment. The micrograin carbide substrate supports consistent performance in both dry and flood-coolant setups.
Designed as a standard single-end ball end mill with a 3/16-inch shank diameter, compatible with ER collets, end mill holders, and other tool-holding systems sized for 0.1875-inch shanks on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine powered down and the spindle fully stopped. Ensure the collet or tool holder is clean and free of debris before seating the shank to the full depth of the holder. Verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting to protect the small-diameter cutting edge from premature chipping. Follow shop safety protocols and machine manufacturer guidelines for feed rate and spindle speed selection based on workpiece material.
