The HERTEL E699924421 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With a 0.25-inch mill diameter, a 0.625-inch length of cut, and a 4-flute geometry, this tool delivers smooth surface finishes and efficient chip evacuation in finish and semi-finish passes. The TiN coating improves surface hardness and extends tool life in moderate-heat cutting environments. At 3.0 inches overall length and a 0.25-inch shank diameter, it mounts directly into standard collet chucks and end mill holders. This is a double-end configuration, providing two usable cutting ends and extending the value of each tool. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction make it compatible with conventional CNC machining center setups.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers, vertical mills, and manual knee mills used in tool and die, mold making, aerospace component work, and general precision machining. The ball nose profile is well suited for contouring, 3D profiling, and radius floor finishing in both open pockets and complex surface geometry. The solid carbide construction makes it appropriate for hardened steels, stainless alloys, cast iron, and aluminum at appropriate feeds and speeds. Machinists and CNC operators in production and job shop environments are the primary installers and users of this tooling.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or equivalent for standard 0.25-inch shank ball end mill applications in collet chucks and end mill holders compatible with 1/4-inch shank tooling.
This tool is installed by machinists and CNC operators following standard tooling change procedures. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Use a properly sized collet or end mill holder and torque the retention mechanism to the tool holder manufacturer specification. Inspect the cutting edges and coating before each use - do not run chipped or damaged carbide tooling.
