The HERTEL E699924414 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. It features a 0.1406-inch (9/64-inch) cutting diameter and a 0.3125-inch (5/16-inch) length of cut, making it well suited for contouring, profiling, and slotting in tight geometries. The four-flute, right-hand cutting configuration delivers efficient chip evacuation and surface finish quality. A Titanium Nitride (TiN) coating increases surface hardness and reduces friction at the cutting edge, extending tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. This is a double-end tool, providing two usable cutting ends from a single shank.
This end mill is used in CNC machining centers and manual mills for finish milling, die and mold work, and contour passes on steel, aluminum, and similar materials. The small diameter makes it appropriate for detail work, cavity milling, and fine-feature profiling. At 2 inches overall length with a 3/16-inch shank diameter, it fits standard collet chucks and end mill holders found in most shop environments. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals working in production or job-shop settings will find this tool suitable for high-precision applications where geometry control is critical.
Designed for use in standard collet chucks, shrink-fit holders, and end mill holders accepting a 3/16-inch shank diameter. Suitable for CNC machining centers and manual milling machines running right-hand spindle rotation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard toolholding procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before changing tooling. Verify collet size matches the 3/16-inch shank before tightening to the holder manufacturer's specified procedure. Confirm runout within acceptable limits before beginning a cutting pass to protect both the tool and the workpiece.
