The HERTEL E6250064 is a single-end ball end mill designed for contouring, profiling, and finish milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. Built from solid carbide, it offers greater rigidity and wear resistance than high-speed steel tooling. The 1-inch diameter cutting face and 1.5-inch length of cut suit a range of medium-to-heavy material removal tasks. A titanium nitride (TiN) coating reduces friction and extends tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With 4 flutes and a right-hand cutting and flute direction, this end mill delivers smooth chip evacuation and consistent surface finish on CNC and manual milling equipment.
This end mill is suited for shops and production environments running CNC machining centers or knee mills where 3D contouring, radius profiling, and die-and-mold work are common. The 1-inch shank diameter provides a secure, low-runout fit in standard end mill holders and collet chucks sized for 1-inch tooling. The 4-inch overall length allows reach into deeper workpiece features without excessive tool deflection. It is typically installed by machinists and tool and die professionals working in job shop, aerospace, automotive, and general manufacturing environments.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines equipped with end mill holders, milling chucks, or collets accepting a 1-inch shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a locked-out, de-energized state before changing tooling. Seat the shank to the full recommended engagement depth in the holder and torque set screws or collet nuts to the tool holder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut to minimize premature tool wear and dimensional error.
