The HERTEL E6250008 is a single-end ball end mill designed for milling contoured surfaces, slots, and complex three-dimensional profiles in metalworking and machining applications. Built from solid carbide, it offers the rigidity and wear resistance needed for high-speed cutting in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 0.125-inch diameter cutting end features four flutes with a right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction, optimizing chip evacuation and surface finish. A titanium nitride (TiN) coating reduces friction and extends tool life. With an overall length of 1.5 inches and a length of cut of 0.5 inches, this mill is well suited for light finishing passes and detail work on CNC machining centers and manual mills.
This end mill is used in precision machining environments including tool and die, mold making, aerospace component work, and general metalworking shops. Its small diameter and four-flute geometry make it appropriate for fine detail passes and tight-radius contouring. It is intended for installation in a standard 0.125-inch shank collet or end mill holder on CNC vertical machining centers, knee mills, or similar equipment. Machinists working with aluminum, steel, stainless, and hardened materials commonly reach for TiN-coated carbide tooling at this diameter range for finishing operations.
Designed for use in any spindle or collet system accepting a 0.125-inch round shank end mill, including standard ER collets and precision end mill holders on CNC and manual vertical machining centers.
This end mill is installed and removed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. The machine spindle must be fully powered down and at a complete stop before changing tooling. Ensure the collet and holder are clean and free of chips before seating the shank to the correct engagement depth. Follow the machine tool manufacturer and tooling manufacturer recommendations for speeds, feeds, and depth of cut for the specific workpiece material and diameter being run.
