The HERTEL E6014024 is a single-end ball end mill designed for machining contoured surfaces, slots, and three-dimensional profiles in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built from solid carbide, it delivers the rigidity and edge retention required for demanding milling operations. The 0.375-inch diameter cutting head is paired with a 1.125-inch length of cut and a titanium nitride (TiN) coating that reduces friction and extends tool life. With two right-hand flutes and a right-hand cutting direction, this end mill is suited for general-purpose CNC and manual milling applications where consistent finish quality and dimensional accuracy are priorities. Installed by machinists and tooling technicians in production and job-shop environments.
The E6014024 fits standard 3/8-inch collets and tool holders found on vertical machining centers, CNC mills, and manual knee mills. The 3-inch overall length provides adequate reach for most conventional milling setups without sacrificing rigidity. The ball nose geometry makes it appropriate for profile milling, die work, and finishing passes on complex contoured workpieces. The TiN coating is compatible with a broad range of workpiece materials including alloy steels, stainless steels, cast iron, and aluminum alloys under proper cutting parameters.

This end mill is installed by machinists or tooling technicians and requires a properly sized collet or end mill holder torqued to machine-manufacturer specifications. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Verify runout with a dial indicator after seating to avoid premature edge wear or workpiece damage. Follow your machine tool manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety procedures when setting cutting speeds and feed rates.
