The HERTEL E599924684 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. With a 0.2362-inch (6 mm) diameter and a 0.7874-inch (20 mm) length of cut, this two-flute tool is built for light to medium material removal where accuracy and surface finish matter. The micrograin carbide construction provides rigidity and edge retention in demanding cutting conditions. A 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces during operation. The uncoated finish makes this tool well suited for applications where a coated surface is not required or where re-sharpening is anticipated.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers, manual knee mills, and similar setups where a small-diameter, short-flute tool is required. It is appropriate for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in materials such as steel, aluminum, and non-ferrous alloys. The centercutting geometry allows for direct plunge entry into the workpiece, adding versatility to the tool path. The right-hand cutting direction and regular length classification make it a straightforward drop-in for standard toolholders sized for 6 mm or 0.2362-inch shank diameters.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide square end mill for standard toolholding systems accepting a 6 mm shank diameter in CNC and manual milling applications.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and machine power locked out per shop safety procedures. Ensure the toolholder collet or chuck is clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Verify runout with a dial indicator after tightening to confirm proper seating. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and depth of cut being used.
