The HERTEL E599924661 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metal and hard-material applications. It features a 0.315-inch (8.00 mm) cutting diameter with a 0.4724-inch (12.00 mm) length of cut, supported by four flutes and a 30-degree helix angle. The micrograin carbide construction provides wear resistance and edge stability in demanding cut conditions. The uncoated finish makes it well-suited for applications where post-coat tolerances would affect dimensional accuracy. Center-cutting geometry allows the tool to plunge directly into the workpiece. Right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional CNC and manual milling setups.
This end mill is used in job shop and production machining environments for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The regular-length body and 8.00 mm shank diameter make it compatible with standard collet chucks and end mill holders found in vertical machining centers and knee mills. The 51.00 mm (approximately 2.008 inches) overall length fits within typical tool length offsets for compact workholding setups. It is installed and used by machinists, tool and die makers, and CNC operators in both light and medium-duty cutting conditions.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide end mill for standard 8.00 mm collet chucks and end mill holders used in CNC vertical machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation is performed by machinists using a collet chuck or end mill holder torqued to the tool holder manufacturer specifications. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Confirm tool runout with a dial indicator after installation to avoid premature edge wear or dimensional error. Follow shop-floor speeds and feeds charts for carbide tooling in the specific workpiece material being cut.
