The HERTEL E599924425 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal fabrication, tool and die, and general machining environments. With a 0.375-inch mill diameter and a 0.5-inch length of cut, this tool removes material in a hemispherical path suited for profiling, contouring, slotting, and finishing passes on complex 3D surfaces. The four-flute geometry and right-hand spiral flute direction provide efficient chip evacuation and a stable cutting action. The uncoated bright finish makes it well suited for non-ferrous metals, aluminum, and general-purpose machining where a coating would add unnecessary cost.
This end mill is a double-end tool, giving machinists two usable cutting ends before the tool is retired, which extends effective tool life per unit. The 0.375-inch shank diameter matches the mill diameter for direct collet or end mill holder fitment in standard ER or side-lock tooling setups. With a 3-inch overall length, it fits conventional vertical machining centers, CNC mills, and manual Bridgeport-style knee mills. It is appropriate for job shops, production floors, and tool room applications handling medium to light-duty profiling work.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-fitment cutting tool for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 0.375-inch shank diameter end mill holder or collet.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup personnel. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and power is locked out before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Seat the shank to the full recommended engagement depth in the collet or holder before tightening to the manufacturer torque specification for that tooling system. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each use, as carbide is brittle and can fracture if a damaged tool is run under load.
