The HERTEL E599924415 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composites, and engineered materials. With a 0.1563-inch (5/32-inch) cutting diameter and four spiral flutes, this tool delivers smooth chip evacuation and consistent surface finish in demanding applications. The double-end configuration doubles tool life by providing a second usable cutting end, making it a practical choice for high-volume production environments. It carries a bright uncoated finish, which is well suited for applications where coating interaction with the workpiece material is a concern. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional CNC and manual milling setups.
This end mill is used in CNC machining centers, vertical mills, and manual milling machines for contouring, slotting, and profiling operations that require a ball-nose geometry. The small cutting diameter makes it appropriate for fine detail work, narrow slots, and three-dimensional contoured surfaces in mold making, die work, and precision part production. A 3/16-inch shank diameter accommodates standard collets and end mill holders common in light-duty and mid-range spindles. Installation is performed by qualified machinists in machine shop environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide ball end mill for CNC machining centers and vertical milling machines accepting a 3/16-inch shank diameter collet or end mill holder.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist following standard tooling changeover procedures. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing the tool from the collet or end mill holder. Ensure the shank is fully seated and the collet is torqued to the machine manufacturer's specification using the appropriate spanner wrenches. Inspect both cutting ends for chipping or wear before use, and confirm runout with a dial indicator if surface finish tolerance is critical.
