The HERTEL E5250056 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With a 0.875-inch (7/8-inch) mill diameter, a 1.5-inch length of cut, and a 4-inch overall length, this tool is built for stable material removal in profiling, contouring, and slotting applications. The 4-flute geometry and 30-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation and surface finish quality. The uncoated solid carbide construction delivers consistent edge integrity across a range of workpiece materials. This end mill is a single-end tool intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills operated by machinists and toolroom professionals.
This end mill is suited for job shop, production, and toolroom environments where tight tolerances and repeatable surface finishes are required. Typical applications include 3D contouring on molds and dies, profiling hardened or abrasive materials, and general-purpose pocket milling. The 7/8-inch shank diameter matches the mill diameter, allowing direct mounting in standard ER collets, end mill holders, or shrink-fit toolholders without adapter reduction. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional CNC spindle rotation.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide ball end mill for use in standard 7/8-inch end mill holders, ER collet chucks, and shrink-fit toolholding systems on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before inserting or removing the tool. Verify that the toolholder bore is clean and free of chips before seating the shank to the recommended gauge length. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before initiating a cut, particularly in finishing or tight-tolerance applications.
