The HERTEL E5060008 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composite, and hard-material applications. The 0.125 inch cutting diameter and 4-flute geometry deliver fine finish passes and contour work where rigidity and accuracy are critical. With a 0.75 inch length of cut and 2.25 inch overall length, this tool is sized for close-tolerance profiling, slotting, and 3D contouring on CNC machining centers and manual mills. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional spindle setups. Micrograin carbide substrate provides wear resistance and edge retention at elevated speeds and feeds.
This end mill is suited for job shops, tool rooms, and production environments running steel, stainless, aluminum, and similar materials where a small-diameter ball nose profile is required. Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an e-stop or locked-out state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or tool holder to the recommended minimum engagement depth and torque the collet nut per the tool holder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, as excessive runout will accelerate edge wear on small-diameter carbide tools.
