The HERTEL E4030902 is a cobalt square end mill designed for milling operations in ferrous and difficult-to-machine materials. Manufactured from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, it carries a TiN (titanium nitride) finish that reduces friction and extends tool life. The cutter measures 5/8 inch in diameter with a 1-1/8 inch length of cut and a 1/2 inch shank diameter, putting the overall length at 3-1/8 inches. The 30-degree spiral flute geometry with a 2-flute configuration provides efficient chip evacuation and is center-cutting, allowing plunge entry directly into the workpiece. This end mill is installed and operated by machinists and toolroom professionals on manual mills and CNC machining centers.
