The HERTEL E2053040 is a cobalt square end mill designed for milling operations in ferrous and difficult-to-machine materials. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, it delivers heat resistance and edge retention beyond standard HSS tooling. The cutter measures 5/8 inch in diameter with a 1-3/8 inch length of cut and a 5 inch overall length. A 30-degree spiral helix and four flutes work together to improve chip evacuation and surface finish. The double-end design extends tool life by providing two usable cutting ends. This is an uncoated, centercutting end mill, meaning it can be fed directly into a workpiece for plunge cuts without a pre-drilled entry hole.

This end mill is suited for general milling, slotting, profiling, and plunging in steel, stainless, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys.
