The HERTEL E2031020 is a 4-flute cobalt square end mill designed for milling ferrous and hard alloy materials in machine shop and production environments. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, it offers improved heat and wear resistance compared to standard M2 HSS tooling. The cutter measures 5/16 inches in diameter with a 3/4-inch length of cut, a 3/8-inch shank diameter, and a 2-1/2-inch overall length. The 30-degree spiral helix promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. It is an uncoated, single-end tool with right-hand cut and right-hand flute geometry, sized for use in standard vertical mills, knee mills, and CNC machining centers. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals are the primary installers.

This end mill is suited for peripheral and slot milling operations on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and other difficult-to-machine materials where cobalt tooling is preferred over carbide for its toughness and resistance to chipping.
