The HERTEL E111004001 is a single-end ball end mill designed for milling contoured surfaces, slots, and complex 3D profiles in metalworking applications. Built from M7 high speed steel and left uncoated, it measures 0.625 inches in diameter with a 1.625-inch length of cut and a 3.75-inch overall length. The 2-flute geometry and 37-degree right-hand spiral helix provide efficient chip evacuation while maintaining a clean finish on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. This tool is suited for manual mills and CNC machining centers where precision profile work is required.
This end mill is used in job shops, tool rooms, and production machining environments for profiling, contouring, and semi-finish milling operations. The ball-nose profile makes it well suited for die and mold work, radius pockets, and ramp-in cuts. The 0.625-inch shank diameter matches the cutter diameter for straightforward collet or end mill holder setup. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning cuts, as excessive runout accelerates wear on HSS tooling.
