The HERTEL E107013201 is a single-end square end mill designed for milling flat surfaces, shoulders, slots, and profiles in metalworking applications. Ground from M7 high speed steel, it carries a bright uncoated finish and measures 1.5 inches in diameter with a 2-inch length of cut and a 4.5-inch overall length. The 1.25-inch shank diameter provides rigid tool holding in standard milling chucks and collets. Three flutes with a 42-degree right-hand spiral helix deliver efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. This tool is centercutting, allowing plunge entry directly into the workpiece. Licensed machinists, tool-and-die makers, and CNC mill operators typically run this end mill in knee mills, vertical machining centers, and manual milling machines.
This end mill suits production and maintenance machining operations in job shops, manufacturing facilities, and tool rooms. It is intended for cutting steel, alloy steel, and similar ferrous materials where M7 high speed steel provides adequate hardness and wear resistance. The regular length geometry fits standard toolholding setups without extended-reach adapters. Right-hand cutting direction is compatible with conventional milling machine spindle rotation. It is sold as a single-piece unit.
Designed as a standard single-end square end mill for use in milling machines accepting a 1.25-inch shank diameter, including ER collet chucks, side-lock holders, and Weldon-style toolholders configured for that shank size.
Installation and operation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Secure the shank fully within the toolholder to the recommended grip depth before tightening; never clamp on the fluted portion. Verify spindle speed and feed rate are appropriate for the workpiece material and depth of cut before running. Inspect the cutting edges for wear or chipping prior to each use, and replace the tool if edge integrity is compromised.
