The HERTEL E1053010 is a double-end square end mill manufactured from M7 high speed steel. It carries a 5/32-inch (0.1563-inch) cutting diameter, a 7/16-inch length of cut, and a 3/8-inch shank diameter, with an overall length of 3.125 inches. The spiral flute geometry runs at a 30-degree helix angle with four flutes, producing clean chip evacuation in a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials. The bright, uncoated finish is standard for general-purpose HSS tooling. This end mill is centercutting, meaning it can plunge directly into the workpiece. It is suited for milling, slotting, profiling, and contouring operations on manual mills, CNC machining centers, and drill presses equipped with an end mill holder.
The E1053010 is appropriate for job shops, toolrooms, and production environments where a compact, small-diameter double-end mill is required. The double-end design extends tool life by providing two usable cutting ends before the tool is retired. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute geometry match the standard spindle rotation on conventional vertical milling machines and most CNC machining centers. The 3/8-inch shank fits standard ER collets, end mill holders, and Weldon-style holders commonly found in trade and production shops. Material grade M7 HSS offers good toughness and wear resistance for interrupted cuts and general machining in steel, cast iron, aluminum, and plastics.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct substitute for 3/8-inch shank double-end square end mills used in standard ER collet chucks, Weldon end mill holders, and equivalent toolholding systems on vertical milling machines and CNC machining centers.
Installation should be performed by a machinist or CNC operator familiar with proper toolholding procedures. Always power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing end mills. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder to the recommended minimum engagement depth and torque the retention hardware to the toolholder specification. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each use, and never exceed the rated speed and feed parameters for the tool diameter and workpiece material combination.
