The HERTEL E1050019 is a double-end, square-profile end mill designed for general-purpose milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Built from M7 high speed steel with a bright uncoated finish, it delivers reliable performance in production and maintenance machining environments. The cutter measures 19/64 inches (0.2969 inches) in diameter with a 9/16-inch length of cut and a 3/8-inch shank diameter, making it a compact yet capable tool for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling. Machinists and tool-room operators working with manual mills or CNC equipment will find this a practical, cost-effective choice for everyday cutting tasks.
This end mill is suited for shop-floor and tool-room applications where a small-diameter, double-end HSS cutter is required. The double-end configuration extends usable tool life by providing two cutting ends per shank. The 30-degree right-hand spiral flute geometry promotes chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. It is appropriate for light-to-medium material removal in mild steel, aluminum, brass, and similar materials. Job shops, maintenance departments, and production machining operations are the typical users of this tool class.
Designed as a standard double-end square end mill with a 3/8-inch straight shank, compatible with any milling machine or machining center collet system, end mill holder, or Weldon-style holder accepting a 3/8-inch shank diameter.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists following standard toolholding procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the tool from its holder. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before beginning a new operation, and select spindle speed and feed rate appropriate for the work material and cut depth.
