The HERTEL CH-302-F is a standard straight line action clamp designed for workholding applications in industrial and manufacturing environments. It delivers a 300 lb (1,334.46 N) holding capacity through a linear plunger mechanism, making it well suited for fixturing, jig assembly, and repetitive clamping tasks on machine tables and workbenches. The clamp features a flanged base with 4 mounting holes for secure, low-profile installation. The plunger travels 1.2598 inches and has a diameter of 0.425 inches with an internal 5/16-18 thread, allowing the included spindle and nuts to be adjusted for varying workpiece thicknesses. The steel construction with zinc finish coating provides corrosion resistance in typical shop conditions. A red straight handle delivers 180-degree actuation.
The CH-302-F is used in production fixturing, welding jigs, drill press tables, and assembly line setups where fast, repeatable clamping is required. Its flanged base and 4-hole bolt pattern allow permanent or semi-permanent mounting to fixture plates, tooling plates, and workbench surfaces. This clamp is appropriate for machine shops, fabrication facilities, and tooling rooms where consistent clamping force and compact footprint are priorities. It is installed and adjusted by machinists, toolmakers, and fixture builders working with manual workholding setups.
Designed as an OEM-style straight line action clamp suitable for general industrial fixturing and workholding applications requiring a flanged base mount and 300 lb clamping force.
Installation is typically performed by machinists or toolmakers using standard hand tools. Secure the flanged base to the fixture or workbench surface through all 4 mounting holes before applying clamping loads. Adjust the spindle and nuts to set proper plunger contact height before operation. De-energize or power down any associated machine tool before servicing or repositioning the clamp.
