The HERTEL CH-13007 is a manual hold-down toggle clamp designed for vertical clamping applications in fabrication, welding, woodworking, and assembly fixtures. It uses a T-handle with 170 degrees of handle movement to lock a closed U-bar against a workpiece, generating up to 331 lb of holding capacity. The flanged base provides four-hole mounting for a stable, rigid connection to jigs and fixtures. Constructed entirely of steel with a zinc finish coating, the CH-13007 is built for repeated industrial use. A red T-handle provides clear visual identification of the clamp handle position during operation.
This clamp is suited for light to medium-duty fixture work in machine shops, assembly lines, and fabrication cells. The vertical handle orientation keeps the clamp profile low when open, making it practical in tight fixture layouts. The 90-degree bar opening provides adequate clearance for loading and unloading workpieces quickly. Licensed machinists, tool and die makers, welders, and assembly technicians are the typical installers. The included spindle, two nuts, and two washers allow for adjustable spindle height to accommodate varying workpiece thicknesses.
Designed as a standard vertical hold-down toggle clamp for use in custom fabrication fixtures, welding jigs, and assembly workholding setups where a flanged-base, U-bar clamp with a 331 lb holding capacity is specified.
Secure the flanged base to a flat fixture surface using four fasteners through the 0.28-inch diameter mounting holes before applying any clamping load. Adjust the spindle length using the included nuts and washers to match the workpiece height before placing the clamp into service. Always verify the clamp is fully toggled to its locked position before machining or welding operations begin. Follow applicable fixture design and machine guarding guidelines required by the applicable workplace safety authority.
