The HERTEL C.40W.0397 is a taper length twist drill bit ground from high-speed steel (HSS) with a black oxide finish. It carries a 5/32 inch (0.1562 inch) diameter, a standard 118-degree split point, and a 3.0 inch spiral flute length for deeper reach than jobber-length bits without sacrificing rigidity. The black oxide coating reduces friction and provides light corrosion resistance during storage and use. Right-hand cut geometry and a straight-cylindrical shank make it compatible with standard three-jaw chucks on drill presses, hand drills, and milling machine setups.
