The HERTEL 87144770 is a single-end roughing end mill designed for aggressive material removal in metal-cutting applications. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel with a TiCN coating, it delivers elevated heat and wear resistance compared to standard HSS tooling. The cutter measures 1.25 inches in diameter with a 4-inch length of cut and a 6-1/2-inch overall length. Six right-hand flutes with a coarse pitch geometry break chips efficiently and reduce cutting forces during heavy roughing passes. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals rely on this geometry for hogging stock in ferrous and high-temperature alloys.
