The HERTEL 84512862 is a single-end roughing end mill designed for aggressive material removal in milling applications. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel and coated with TiAlN, this cutter handles tough ferrous materials and elevated cutting temperatures better than standard HSS tooling. The 5/8 inch diameter, 4-flute configuration with a fine pitch produces a characteristic corncob profile that breaks chips efficiently and reduces vibration under heavy cuts. With a 5/8 inch length of cut and 2.75 inch overall length, it fits standard milling machine spindles and CNC machining centers. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard. This end mill is installed by machinists and tool-and-die professionals in production and job-shop environments.

This roughing end mill is suited for hogging operations in ferrous metals, alloy steels, and stainless steels where rapid stock removal is the priority. Installation Notes
