The HERTEL 84511542 is a single-end roughing end mill designed for aggressive material removal in ferrous and high-temperature alloy applications. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel and finished with a TiCN coating, this tool handles tough workpiece materials where standard HSS cutters fall short. It features a 1 inch cutting diameter, 5 flutes, and a 3 inch length of cut, making it well suited for deep-pocket roughing passes. At 5.5 inches overall length with a 1 inch shank diameter, it fits standard CAT, BT, and straight-shank toolholders commonly found in CNC machining centers and manual mills. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional milling setups.

This end mill is used in machine shops, tool rooms, and production environments where high material removal rate is the priority over surface finish. It is not center-cutting, so it requires a pre-drilled or pre-bored entry point before plunge operations.
