The HERTEL 79892808 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding applications. It measures 7/16 inches in diameter with a 4.5-inch overall length and a 2.875-inch flute length. The bit features a standard 118-degree point angle, a bright (uncoated) finish, and a web-thinned, tapered web configuration that reduces thrust and improves chip evacuation at the drill tip. Two spiral flutes in a regular helix pattern provide consistent chip removal. The straight-cylindrical shank seats securely in standard drill chucks. This bit is graded C2 carbide, suited for machinists and tool-and-die professionals working in production or maintenance environments.
This jobber drill bit is intended for use in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where carbide tooling is required for extended tool life or harder workpiece materials.
